Acoustic Ales, located at the historic Mission Brewery Plaza, is a little difficult to find, but once you do, it is worth it! Parking is not so much difficult as it is confusing for those who aren’t familiar with the area. I suggest you give them a call ahead of time for the best directions. A better option is to take the Trolley as Acoustic Ales backs up to a Trolley stop. A great brewery break that’s convenient from any Trolley stop.

The Mission Brewery Plaza is beautiful and so is Acoustic Ales. With its cowboy prints on the walls and cool furnishings like an antique cash register and a phonograph, Acoustic Ales fits right in with the historic look.

Even though the place has a historic feel, you still need high def, right? Well, Acoustic Ales has you covered, as I found out first-hand while watching Monday Night Football.  I really enjoyed the beer, and with dozens to choose from, I know you will, too. I also enjoyed the comfy leather couches – perfect for commuters wanting a break from the heavy traffic on the 5 in to downtown. My new secret hiding spot shhhh….

Willow Wolves: American IPA | 6.00% ABV

Aromas of citrus and melon with hints of white pepper tantalize the nose of this delectable IPA. “Willow Wolves” is delicately balanced with hints of caramel and slight bitterness of grapefruit rind and pine on the finish.

Witte Snake: Witbier | 5.00% ABV

Witte Bier w/Lemongrass, Ginger, Coriander, & Sweet Orange Peels. Aromas of lemongrass shine through on the nose while fresh ginger coats the tongue. This easy drinking witt bier is lightly hopped and has floral notes on the finish.

The Groupie: Belgian Strong Pale Ale | 8.00% ABV

The Groupie is no wimpy blonde! This golden colored ale is medium bodied, well balanced and smooth. Banana undertones and honey are noticeable on the nose with subtle hints of baking spices on the finish.
