The High Dive is located in a quaint little neighborhood in San Diego; Bay Park. The High Dive has been my stomping ground for years now. The staff is pretty awesome and we have all become pretty good friends over the years.
The High Dive features awesome handmade burgers that rival any in town and their cold local craft beers compliment them oh so well. There are 20 local craft beer taps alone!
The breakfast is pretty much off the chain, but I always come for the burgers. I have four burgers that I interchange depending on my mood and highly recommend whatever piques your interest as all their burgers are good! The smoked bacon at the High Dive really stands out and should be on any burger you try.
The Spicy Reed is my favorite: a handmade burger stuffed with cream cheese and Jalapenos, then topped with grilled onions, smoked bacon and Swiss cheese. Need I say more?
Another favorite is The Duke: a perfectly grilled burger seasoned with BBQ sauce, topped with smoked bacon, a golden brown onion ring and American cheese. This burger gives you that great south western taste.
The Kraken burger is a unique experience. It’s made with Gorgonzola cheese, smoked bacon, and grilled onions, all sandwiched between two toasted, sriracha-infused, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Pretty crazy good!
I also love the Gorgonzola Bacon, made with Gorgonzola cheese, smoked bacon and caramelized onions.
If you’re visiting or just moved to town and haven’t had the chance to experience the High Dive, then you haven’t yet experienced San Diego!
